New Drone Powers for Police

As being part of the drone and UAV/S industry, legislation and policing of the industry and drones in general is incredibly important to us. AIDP has invested heavily in ensuring we're fully insured, certified, trained and licensed - this is to make sure our customers receive a professional service and also to protect ourselves and the industry.

Recent proposals put forward by the Department for Transport have indicated their intention to publish a draft Drone Bill in the spring which will add more controls around the users of drones and give police more power to ground, seize and generally prevent unlawful and unsafe use of drones.

This is certainly a further step towards accepting and recognising the industry and ensuring it is effectively policed so that those responsibly using drones for business or pleasure can do so without being bundled in with those using drones for less-than-legal purposes.
